What We Offer

We provide individualised, 24 hour care from a dedicated, well trained team.

We have many activities available for our residents, as well as outside entertainers that come in and provide some great shows and live music, keeping everyone entertained.

We are members of Memory Lane Therapy and NAPA (National Activity Providers Association).

We have regular visits from pet dogs and our animal loving residents often enjoy their time spent with mobile zoos and owl experiences.

We are part of the community in our lovely village and residents can attend the coffee and cupcakes at the village hall monthly, visit the local cafe and pubs and also use the park which is opposite the home.

We have close links to Downham School and Ramsden Preschool which is of benefit to both residents and children

Ensure to check out our social media, all linked at the top of the homepage.

Potential residents undergo a thorough assessment of needs before admission. Admission depends on The Belfry being able to cater for those needs. We are unable to accept emergency admissions as we require a comprehensive assessment before a place can be offered.

Each application is given careful consideration by the home's management and, depending on vacancies, a decision to offer a place is made within 7 days. Where there is no current vacancy, it is possible for an applicant to be placed on a waiting list

When admission is accepted, the individual residents agreed plan of care provides the basis on which The Belfry's care service is delivered. Each person's plan includes a description of their preferred daily routine, their likes and dislikes in relation to food and any specific dietary requirements and similar matters. it includes their preferences in respect to how they liked to be addressed and what dignity, respect and privacy means to them in terms of daily behaviour and actions. We find it is particularly important to find this out in relation to any intimate personal care activities that staff are expected to carry out.

Visiting

The Belfry has a small pretty garden with seating areas which residents and visitors are welcome to use this at any time. Patio furniture is available for your comfort.

We do not have set visiting hours at the belfry, as we like friends and family to feel they can visit at their own convenience, so our home has an open house policy. Visitors will be offered refreshments, or a meal can be prepared for anyone having travelled a long distance. We would appreciate notice for this.
